Geologist Alfred has given himself the task of proving the hypothesis that the peculiar round holes that can be found in the North of Norway are actually the result of meteorites. He joins a scientific expedition across the tundra, a journey that is plagued by setbacks. His travel companions are much better equipped in dealing with the brutal environment, and both mosquitoes and the midnight sun keep him awake. Alfred loses his compass, his companions, his faith, his bearings, his way.
In Beyond Sleep, Alfred will have to reach the end of the world to finally find himself.
