André Øvredal
André Øvredal (b. 1973) graduated from Brooks Institute in California in 1996, going on to direct numerous award-winning commercials and short films. His feature film debut, «Trollhunter» gained immediate international attention after its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. In Norway, the film became both critically acclaimed and a box office hit, resulting in Øvredal being picked as Variety's ”10 Directors To Watch”. Øvredal's first American film «The Autopsy of Jane Doe» was released in 2016 to critical acclaim, and in 2019, he directed the box office hit «Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark», produced by Guillermo del Toro. In 2020, André directed the action-fantasy feature film «Mortal», starring Nat Wolff and Iben Akerlie.
